Euthyrox Update: Availability in retail and Mail-order Pharmacies
Euthyrox® is available, nationwide, at all ’Brick and Mortar’ Retail pharmacies, as well as, ‘Send to Your Door’ Mail-Order pharmacies. It may be requested by name. If not in stock, the pharmacy will need to specifically order it from their wholesaler and can do so when requested by the consumer. An additional day or two for your pharmacy to stock Euthyrox® from their respective wholesaler should be expected.
To better ensure regular availability of Euthyrox® from your pharmacy, please have your Healthcare provider update your prescription to reflect “Brand Medically Necessary” or “Dispense as Written” ensuring they specify the correct quantity (e.g., 30-count or 90-count fill). This will require the pharmacy to dispense Euthyrox® for each refill of your prescription. Rest assured you will receive a brand product at a generic price.
Note that in many cases, it is highly recommended to ask for the cash price from the pharmacy as this may result in a lower out of pocket cost versus your copay or coinsurance.
